Pre-School

Norton Pre School is a Charity run from a Portacabin within the grounds of the Primary School. 1. Parent and toddler sessions, Tuesday mornings 9.30 - 11.30, Thursday afternoons 1.45 - 3.15 : cost is £1.50 per family. It continues through the school holidays - just come along. 2. Formal Pre school sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 8.45 - 11.30 3. "Rising Fours" session for children due to start school the following year, held on Tuesday afternoons in Spring and Summer terms, 12.00 - 2.45 pm. Fees are currently £4 per session and registration is necessary. Contact Mrs Elizabeth Dunn, "Bramblewick", Leys Road, Tostock on 270270.

Some village children attend Woolpit Primary School - contact the school for information. The Pyramid Play Bus visits on the first and third Friday of the month, in the rear car park of The Gardeners Arms, and operates as a mobile playgroup/ toddler session. Fees are according to the age of the child.

The Gardener's Arms, on the Green, serves lunches and evening meals. Contact Reg or Mary Ransome on 270460.

The Co-op and Dairycrest Daries deliver milk around the village on Mondays, Wednesdays , Fridays and Saturdays.

Refuse collection is on Wednesday mornings, before 8.30 a.m.

Norton has a Post Office/Shop and a Garage.

Woolpit has several shops, two Supermarkets, Bakery, hairdresser, Fish and Chip Shop and a Post Office. This Post Office offers a banking service and Addisons Supermarket has a cash Machine.

Flowers and plants can be bought from Mr R Turner and Sons at Beyton Nurseries.

Library There is a Library at Elmswell which is to be rebuilt on a new site.
