TOSTOCK COMMUNITY
POLICE OFFICER
My name is Richard Shepherd the community police officer for Tostock. I took
up my post in January 2003, having previously worked in Hertfordshire, Bury
St Edmunds and Eye. I currently work from Elmswell Police Station and cover
a further 8 village around Tostock
We are very fortunate that we live in one of the safest counties in England,
with a very low crime rate. However, that does not mean that we can afford to
relax. It is only with the support of the local community that we can be effective
in our fight against the crime.
During these long summer day's, it is easy to forget that window's are left
open when we leave the house. Always make sure that you check all the window's
before leaving the house, no matter if it's even for short time. Please make
sure that and gardening equipment is locked away and out of site. It is through
these simple crime precautions that you can stop yourself becoming a victim
of crime.
If you wish to purchase locks and shed alarms and other security equipment,
then please feel free to call into Stowmarket Police Station, where there are
a wide range of these items on sale.
If you wish to make contact and speak with me about an issue that concerns you,
then please phone 01473 613500 and ask to leave a message for Police
Constable 289. If I am on duty I will take your call there and then, if not
you will be put through to my voicemail and I will return your call on my return
to work. If your call is urgent then please dial 999.
